Kim Moody Design is fortunate to have a team of dedicated and talented individuals who care about your project.

Kim is a Licensed Interior Designer in the State of VA as well as NCIDQ Certified. Practicing Interior Design since her graduation from James Madison University, Kim has worked in residential and commercial Architecture firms from Georgia to Virginia. In 2004, Kim planned her first wedding and was hooked. After doing events informally for a few years, Kim opened her company Texture Design Studio in 2007.

After having locations in Harrisonburg, Staunton, and Orange, Kim and her husband Andrew decided to move back to their home community and rebranded the company as Kim Moody Design in order to offer our clients a personal guarantee of our commitment.

Additionally, Kim is actively involved in supporting the local community by serving as Downtown Blackstone's Promotions Committee Chairman, and helps organize a number of community events in Southside Virginia. This year Kim completed her Masters in Peace and Justice Studies with a focus on Organizational Leadership at Eastern Mennonite University. Kim has also earned a certificate from EMU's MBA program on Non-Profit Leadership and Social Innovation. She is also Permaculture Certified and currently working on a Certificate in Sustainable Building and Design from Yestermorrow Design/Build School in Vermont. In 2009, Kim founded Transition Studio a sustainability education non-profit that focuses on rural heritage skills and community development.

Kim loves helping brides with their weddings and design clients with their homes. Each project is unique and has it's own style and set of needs. Kim makes sure that each client is taken care of with the utmost creativity, service, and care.

Hannah works with us during weddings and special events. She is studying Human Nutrition, Foods and Excercise at Virginia Tech with minors in Chemistry and Leadership and Social Change. Hannah will graduate this Spring and enjoys physical fitness and Hokie football.

Jane joined us after leaving a 26-year career as a technical support analyist from an electric cooperative. We are lucky to have her artistic talents and eye for design. She great at anything creative and really missed her calling as a decorator, so we are fortunate to have her as part of our team for floral design and interiors.

Andrew is the most detail oriented bookkeeper and accountant we've ever met. His degrees in Property Management, Real Estate, and Business from Virginia Tech have graced him with a broad base of knowledge. Hokie football and crunching numbers are his two favorite things! His bookkeeping company Stewardship Solutions even shares an office with Kim Moody Design.
